The 2025 Ravinia Women’s Board Gala was more than just an elegant fundraiser. Thanks to VH Designs, who brought their signature floral artistry and design magic to this highly anticipated summer soirée, it was a multisensory celebration.

The evening began with cocktail hour on Ravinia Festival’s North Lawn in Highland Park – the gala glowed with glamour from the moment guests arrived. VH Designs set the tone right at the entrance with a stunning photo-op wall. The vibrant pink upholstery was adorned with larger-than-life fantasy flowers and gold palm fronds with the Ravinia logo front and center offering the perfect backdrop for attendees dressed to the nines. Grand arrangements in gold urns surrounded the bars and delicate rose arrangements were placed among the cocktail tables.

Guests then attended a breathtaking performance in the pavilion by Broadway luminaries Sutton Foster, Kelli O’Hara, and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra conducted by Marin Alsop. A once in a lifetime production!

Dinner followed in the grand tent which was transformed into an ethereal garden. VH Designs curated a palette of towering palms with rich purple accents and touches of gold, creating texture and movement in every direction. Overhead, crystal chandeliers seemingly floated, refracting soft light and casting a romantic glow throughout the space with help from our friends at Elegant Event. Their interplay with the dreamy ambient lighting—a warm mix of patterned lights on the ceiling and glowing candles on the table—created an atmosphere that felt both intimate and grandiose.

VH Designs is honored to be a supporting role in this night of culture, community, and cause. The fundraising gala supports Ravinia’s Reach Teach Play which serves over 20,000 students annually in Lake and Cook Counties year-round. They provide children and families in underserved communities with live performances and music education programs. Check out this feature with Sheridan Road:
