The past few weeks have been a whirlwind of back to back red carpet premieres for VH Designs.  With each movie premiere, we transformed the lobby at Wayfarer Theaters in Highland Park into a full sensory experience by crafting art installations that immerse guests in the story before the film even begins. Drawing inspiration from the themes, visuals, and emotions of each movie, VH Designs ensures that every premiere feels unique and memorable – elevating the red-carpet tradition into an artistic celebration of cinema.

The first of the series was Code 3 – a comedy starring Rain Wilson about a burned-out paramedic that is tasked with training his eager but inexperienced replacement on his final shift. What starts as a routine night quickly spirals into a chaotic, citywide odyssey that tests their endurance, instincts and sense of humor as they race from one emergency to the next. VH created a vibrant art installation incorporating ambulances, flashing lights, graphics with the movie logo, and towering flowers made of caution tape.

The second premiere was for The Senior starring Michael Chiklis. This movie was based on a true story about Mike Flint, a man who returns to his alma mater nearly four decades after graduation to take another shot at playing football. This installation featured an industrial vibe based off of the cinderblock locker rooms featured in the film. The cacti and tumbleweeds were an homage to the university in Texas with the football field turf below. The film’s logo as well as the player’s number were also incorporated in the structure.

The final premiere for the season was for Grow – a family comedy about pumpkins, sabotage, and unlikely relationships. VH embraced rural charm in this piece. Pumpkins and vines twist and turn up the trellis with the award winning giant pumpkin at the base. This was also the perfect piece for fall in Chicago!
