The VH Designs team recently had the pleasure of designing a picture perfect proposal for the most fabulous couple. A trail of rose petals and candles guided their way to the cupola on top of the LondonHouse Chicago. As if the view of the Chicago River and skyline wasn’t beautiful enough, their path ended with a larger than life floral wall complete with white and red roses.
The plan was to set the scene and leave to give the couple privacy in their precious moment. Then we would meet the rest of our team over at Gibson’s Italia to put the finishing touches on the engagement party décor. In typical Chicago fashion, the weather did not cooperate. The sun turned to clouds, the wind started whipping and before we knew it the snow was coming down. Despite our best efforts to weigh it down, our floral wall was ready to take flight. The only way to make it work and not shock any bystanders down below on Wacker Drive was to have our dedicated team members Vince and Dana hide behind it and hold on tight! The sound of violin was the cue to take position. A crew of photographers, a videographer and a drone were all there to capture this magic moment and of course, she said yes!
As soon as the couple was finished with their photoshoot, Vince, Dana and Emma rushed to dismantle the scene so they could join the rest of the crew at the engagement party. From the custom photo wall to the swanky lounge furniture and classy floral accents, thankfully everything here went exactly as planned! Another successful VHD event in the books!
