As the sunshine begins to peek through, we are getting increasingly excited for a summer of design. The team has been hard at work sculpting various events we cannot wait to bring to life.

At VH Designs, there are a variety of aspects that go into Vince’s design process. 2026 has been filled with so many trends and designs in a variety of artistic areas. Not only do we take note of the current event design trends, but we also pay close attention to things like fashion, interiors, and the arts to draw inspiration. All the while keeping the classic VH look at the focal point.

The unique personalities of our clients and brides have made curating this summer so special. We have had the opportunity to reimagine our looks in so many variations to complement the desired styles and themes.

Color Trends

When it comes to color, 2026 has been the year of the unexpected. In the past we have seen bright and soft shades of pinks, greens and blues, paired with whites and ivory. These classic summer floral tones have been a solid choice for many years. This summer on the other hand, we are seeing something completely unique. Browns and olives in July, deep maroons in May, and so on. It has been so fun working with these natural earthy t0nes and making them work in the given setting. These colors are all being paired in surprising ways giving these events so much character and depth. We are just obsessed with the challenge to blend concepts we never imagined.

Sculptural Floral Design

For years florals have been a huge influence on other aspects of design, typically in fashion or interiors. From floral patterned textiles to appliques to art pieces. There tends to be a floral element everywhere you look. In recent years we have started to see more florals being designed inspired by sculptural shapes of fashion or interiors.

Using florals as a material for a sculptural art piece has been increasingly more and more popular. In the past we have seen this in large installations like an arch or a wall display, but as time goes on unique shapes have taken over our everyday arrangements. For example, floral installation designed to mimic draping of fabric, or in the shape of an everyday object. Rather than your typical symmetrical cylinder, florals are beginning to take on more organic shapes moving through new heights.

While designs like the cascading tulips or purse like bouquets are seen as micro trends, there are other areas of sculpture inspired florals that we believe will withstand the test of time A personal favorite of ours is the table garden. On many upcoming events we have designed for the head table florals to cascade onto the ground, a perfect way to distinguish the most important table in the room.

Lighting and Metallics

Ever since Hailey Bieber invented the infamous glazed donut nails, chrome and metallics have yet to leave the design world. It has moved from nails, to accessories, to home décor, but it has always been a crucial part of events!

It truly is the perfect element to get those glimmers and reflections in a setting where you don’t always want real sparkle. A little shimmer and shine is a key component to a grand celebration. We are always trying to cast some sort of reflection to really give a room that wow factor. But the key to getting that reflection is the way the light bounces off of those elements.

Lighting is such an important component to the event world, one that most don’t realize when planning. Quality of lighting is something that can truly make or break a rooms look. As technology strengthens, we are seeing so many more interesting ways of lighting. Thus causing this wild lighting trend.

In the mitzvah world, colors and light have been a main focus forever. We are starting to see this move more into weddings and charity events in a more elegant and elevated way. Rather than those bright neons, softer deeper shades are being used to light the room so subtly you almost don’t know what is making the difference.

We at VH are so excited to show you what we have in store for this summer and the year to follow! Watching closely to trends and new forms of design to curate the greatest events possible!
